BOTOX®

BOTOX® has become one of the most popular minimally invasive cosmetic procedures. This injection is primarily used to reduce facial lines and wrinkles, such as: forehead lines, crow’s feet, and wrinkles on and around the neck. BOTOX® is the registered product name for Botulinum toxin, Type A.

BOTOX® Treatment

 When used in appropriate doses, BOTOX® is a safe treatment option to effectively reduce the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles. Additionally, BOTOX® can be used as an effective method for treating other conditions, like migraines and excessive sweating.

Permanent side effects can be associated with BOTOX® injections if they are not performed properly. An experienced practitioner should start off administering smaller doses, which can be increased if necessary.

Is it Painful?

The majority of patients do not experience any pain from BOTOX® injections. Some people may experience minor discomfort, but not enough to warrant using local anesthetic. A topical numbing cream can be applied a few minutes before starting treatment.

 When Will Results Be Visible?

Results are normally visible a few days after the procedure. As soon as the muscles in the treated area are not able to contract, the appearance of lines and wrinkles will diminish substantially.

You can enjoy the effects of BOTOX® for approximately 4 months after a single procedure and longer if you maintain a healthy lifestyle and avoid extended exposure to the sun. There is no downtime following the treatment, but some patients experiencing a small amount of bruising and swelling for a few days afterward.
