How does the MicroLaserPeel work?

The precise Yag laser beam is scanned over the desired treatment area to gently remove a very thin layer of skin. This removal eliminates most of the damaged cells that often give skin an aged look. Once the skin begins to heal, new cells grow to resurface the treated area, resulting in vibrant skin with a healthier appearance, often accompanied by a marked reduction in wrinkles and even skin texture. 

The targeted area is cleaned prior to treatment and safety shields are used to protect your eyes. Your provider will then position the MicroLaserPeel handpiece directly above the treatment area and it will be held in place as the state-of-the-art scanner moves the laser beam around the treatment area. A procedure typically lasts between 15-30 minutes. One session is normally sufficient for visible results, although this depends on individual requirements and outcome goals.

One of the major advantages of MicroLaserPeel is the minor discomfort patients experience because it does not penetrate the skin deeply or aggressively. When the laser is on its most shallow setting, the majority of patients experience a comfortable treatment without any kind of anesthetic.
