Hyperhidrosis

Hyperhidrosis is excessive sweating, and usually occurs in the underarms, palms of the hands or soles of the feet. Many patients seek treatment for hyperhidrosis due to uncomfortability wearing certain types of clothing, difficulty gripping everyday objects (such as car wheels and pens) and concern about their appearance and thus their quality of life.

We evaluate hyperhidrosis individually to discover possible triggers and recommend treatments based on findings.

We offer a variety of treatments for hyperhidrosis. Commonly medically-covered treatments include oral and topical prescriptions applied to the area, drying towelettes applied to the area and more.

We also offer Botox (botulinum toxin) as a non medically-covered treatment. Botox is injected into the affected area and actually helps to keep the glands from sweating for up to a year. We highly recommended Botox hyperhidrosis patients to take extra strength Tylenol and Benadryl before treatment. Although this is a highly successful treatment for hyperhidrosis, it can be quite painful, especially in the palms. Please ask for a quote at your hyperhidrosis analysis, as it differs between patients. We charge an injection fee as well as $10 per unit of Botox. Those treating underarms often need over 100 units total for success.
